About Parent Boosters
The Parent Boosters support the Morristown High School Swim Team. The organization is made up of the parents of the swimmers. The purpose of the organization is to:
- Support the swimmers
- Raise funds for team events and equipment
- Support the team coaching staff
- Communicate team information to the swimmers and their parents
- Organize social events for the swimmers
The Parent Boosters is organized and managed by volunteer parents. For a list of roles, those filling them, and open positions please see our Volunteers page.
There are many opportunities for all swim parents to get involved. There are numerous opportunities to donate food, drinks, supplies, and time for the social and fund raising events and for various swim meets. These opportunities are announced throughout the season. Various events are organized by the parents of swimmers in a particular grade. For example, the first social gathering for the swimmers, the Senior Social, is organized by the parents of the senior swimmers.
Our Parent Booster organization is non-profit. We get our funding to buy supplies and materials from a donation from each parent family. This money is collected at the beginning of the season, usually the night of the annual Parent Meeting. They money is used to buy food and drinks we sell at various meets which raises money for other events during the season.
Please respond to all requests for donation of time and / or food, drink, and supplies. We cannot accomplish our goals without the help of all of the parents.
